BOSTON - Dont let the ice wrapped around Glen Davis back fool you. He wont let the pain keep him off the court.
Davis tweaked his lower back shooting around on Sunday before the Celtics game against the Pacers. While he doesnt know exactly how it happened or what kind of treatment he will require, he is adamant about one thing.
Oh, Im not sitting out, he said, adding, It hurt it before the game. Ive got to get it checked by (Celtics trainer) Ed (Lacerte) and then I can really speak about it, but right now it hurts.
Davis played through the pain and scored 18 points in 35 minutes off the bench. Any aches were unnoticeable during the game, as he shot 8-for-14 from the field and grabbed six rebounds.
The Pacers were unable to defend Davis jumper, which he estimates he took 5,000 shots a day to improve. He continues to utilize the pick-and-pop to stifle the opponent.
Davis scored in double-digits for the seventh consecutive game on Sunday. He is averaging nearly 16 points during that stretch.

It helps because also I can guard the centers, he explained. When you guard the centers and then turn around and stretch the floor, it helps because they cant recover from that far.
Davis is confident he can recover from his bothersome back. And even when he does feel pain, he has motivation to play through it.
Wins, its all about the big W, he said. Thats all I want to is win. I dont want to do nothing else. Thats it.
