Is there room for both Kyrie Irving and D'Angelo Russell in the Brooklyn Nets' backcourt?
Russell's latest Instagram activity suggests he'd be on board.
The Nets' (current) starting point guard, a pending restricted free agent, raised eyebrows Wednesday night by tossing an Instagram "like" on a post featuring a black Irving Nets jersey alongside his own.
The timing here is notable, as ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday that Irving was parting ways with his longtime agent, Jeff Weschler, to join Jay-Z's Roc Nation -- and still is "intensely interested" in signing with Brooklyn in free agency.
The Nets appear to be the current favorites in the Irving sweepstakes, but there are concerns about how he'd coexist with Russell, another ball-dominant point guard who just made his first All-Star team amid a breakout 2018-19 campaign.
Brooklyn obviously could let Russell walk in restricted free agency to alleviate those concerns, but it seems the 23-year-old at least is intrigued by the idea of having another All-Star in his backcourt.
