Bertrand: Celtics' ‘options are dwindling down'

Share

Marc Bertrand joined Michael Felger on Sports Tonight to discuss how it seems all the superstar players the Celtics have interest in are being pulled off the table.

Bertrand said: “It feels like the options are dwindling down to nothing and we haven’t even gotten going yet.”

The second part is true: "We haven’t even gotten going yet."

With that in mind, it’s not really worth reading too much into how Kevin Durant will leave if the Thunder lose to the Spurs, or how he won't if they win.

Or how Vlade Divac claims he's not trading DeMarcus Cousins this year. That could change once a top draft pick is thrown his way.

Or how the Bulls are demanding the Nets pick, Jae Crowder, and more, in return for Jimmy Butler. That could change if the Nets pick is No. 1 or 2, and not No. 4 or 5.

Or how…ah, you get the point.

"We haven’t even gotten going yet."

May 17. The night of the NBA Draft Lottery. That’s when we’ll get going.

Be sure to flip over to CSN's NBA Draft Lottery coverage at 8:30 p.m. right after the picks are determined at 8 p.m.
