The basketball community lost a terrific person and player Thursday.
Terrence Clarke, who grew up in Boston and played for the University of Kentucky during the 2020-21 season, died Thursday following a car accident in the Los Angeles area. Clarke had been preparing for July's 2021 NBA Draft.
He was 19 years old.

"He’s a very good kid. Just always smiling, always energetic. He was about to get his opportunity too," Celtics guard Kemba Walker said after Thursday night's win over the Phoenix Suns. "My condolences to his family. It’s a tough time. That’s really tough news to hear.
"I don’t even know what to say. It's mind-boggling to hear something like that, especially after the game."
