Shaughnessy: ‘Cut Napoli, just let him go'

The Boston Red Sox continue to look for a solution at first base as Mike Napoli's struggles have continued throughout the season.

David Ortiz made a rare appearance at first base on Sunday, and on Tuesday night it Travis Shaw from Pawtucket that got that start.

"I would cut Napoli, just let him go," said Dan Shaughnessy on Sports Tonight. "He's gone next year anyway, the underproduction is just rampant at this point. I would platoon Ortiz and Hanley at first base. I know it's dramatic, but that way you get some defense in left field, you have your best everyday lineup every day."
