Reliever Matt Guerrier, one of the Red Sox' offseason targets in their attempts to rebuild their bullpen, has agreed to a three-year contract with the Dodgers, according to Erik Boland of Newsday.
The Red Sox reportedly will not make three-year offers to relievers, which has cost them two of the relievers they were pursuing: Guerrier and Scott Downs, who is signing with the Angels.
Over his seven-year career, all of which he spent with the Twins, Guerrier, 32, has a 3.38 ERA and a 19-25 record in 472 innings.
