Another Boston Red Sox starter is headed to the injured list.
Right-hander Michael Wacha was placed on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation on Friday, retroactive to July 5. Connor Seabold was recalled from Triple-A Worcester to fill Wacha's spot on the roster and will start Friday night's game vs. the New York Yankees.

Wacha hasn't pitched since June 28 due to the injury. The 31-year-old has been one of Boston's most consistent starting pitchers this season, amassing a 6-1 record and 2.69 ERA in 13 appearances.
The rotation has been snakebitten by injuries over the last month with Nathan Eovaldi, Garrett Whitlock and Rich Hill all being placed on the IL. Eovaldi and Whitlock are scheduled for rehab stints with the WooSox this weekend. Veteran southpaw Chris Sale is expected to make his first MLB start of the season Tuesday in Tampa Bay.
