Red Sox announce ticket price increase for 2020 season

Share

Despite a vastly disappointing season from the Boston Red Sox, the organization is increasing ticket prices by 1.7 percent in 2020.

The price increase will apply to games in the Diamond Tier as well as in Tiers one, two and three -- a.k.a. the most sought after games, which includes matchups with the New York Yankees. Tiers four and five, however, will see a slight decrease in prices as those games are not the most desriable.

You can see what an average ticket will cost for each section of the ballpark by using the photograph below taken from CBS Boston.

The Red Sox have increased ticket prices every year since 2016, according to WEEI's Rob Bradford, so there's really no surprise the 2018 World Series Champions have hiked the prices once again.

While they'll be taking more change out of your pocket, they have not yet mentioned whether Mookie Betts will return for the upcoming season.
