The question everyone was asking last night -- what's wrong with David Price? -- was answered today.
Sox manager Alex Cora said on WEEI Radio's Dale & Keefe show that David Price has a "mild case" of carpal tunnel syndrome:
Price was scratched from tonight’s start against the Yankees due to a ‘recurrence of numbness’ in his pitching hand.
Price, who was plagued by an elbow injury last year, hasn't missed a start since the unknown ailment but has struggled with his control, posting a 5.11 ERA with 16 walks in his 2018 campaign.
He is scheduled for a bullpen session tomorrow. If all goes well, a trip to the disabled list could be avoided.
