It took a shootout, but the Boston Bruins were able to squeak out a victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night.
After Buffalo got off to an early lead, David Krejci quickly tying things back up at 1-1. Red-hot Craig Smith later put the B's ahead, but Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin tied it at 2-2 to force overtime.
Following a scoreless OT, Charlie Coyle and Jake DeBrusk scored in the shootout to propel Boston to their first victory with trade deadline additions Taylor Hall, Curtis Lazar, and Mike Reilly in the lineup.
