Not too long ago, goalkeeper Matt Turner was the back-up for the New England Revolution. Now, he’s making the case to be the starter for the US National Team in future World Cup qualifiers.

A second member of the New England Revolution has been recalled by their respective national team ahead of World Cup qualifying.

On the same day that goalkeeper Matt Turner was recalled by the US men's national team, Revs midfielder Tajon Buchanan was added to the roster for the Canadian national team ahead of September's CONCACAF qualifiers, the club announced.

Buchanan, 22, has scored six goals and added four assists for the first-place Revolution in 2021.
