Richard Sherman is going to milk his sudden relevance for everything it's worth, apparently.
Sherman entered the New England consciousness in the third quarter Sunday when he picked off Tom Brady.
He set up shop there after the game ended by tweeting gleefully how he tormented Brady after the game. In the locker room afterward, Sherman gave a quick verbal dissertation of what kind of offenses work in the NFL.
They are running this gimmick, hurry-up stuff. You dont do that in the NFL, Sherman said. Its not effective because there are great defenses out there.
Sherman is 24. He was a fifth-round pick of the Seahawks last season. He went to Stanford. He's from Compton. He won't shut up.

(Media will) say, Whats wrong? (Brady) threw two picks,Sherman said. Well, he should have thrown five picks. If Earl (Thomas) catches every one, then its a long day for him. People dont understand. Weve got great players out here. Weve got great players in the Pacific Northwest. The Seattle Seahawks have a lot of talent. People, they dont look at the film. They dont analyze anything. Thats why these analysts and commentators need to shut their mouth.

This being the 43rd regular season loss of Brady's 13-year career, he's heard the spoken word victory laps before. And the fact of it is, there's really nothing one can say. Brady plays with a brashness and swagger that any opponent is going to relish puncturing when the Patriots lose.
So it was that Sherman was able to recount chapter and verse his afternoon with Tom Brady.

I kept saying Im going to get that next time, Sherman said. Every TV timeout, I went up and said it right to him: Please keep trying me. Im going to take it from you. That was when they were winning. He just gave me that look and said, Oh, Ill see you after game. Well, I made sure I saw him after the game.
Yeah, yeah . . . and then what'd you do, Richard?!
The Patriots can "coulda, woulda, shoulda" all day long and point out that the Seahawks were beneficiaries of a tipped ball, a butchered play in the red zone, and some of the Patriots' trademark pass defense.
But, as Sherman points out, Seattle can lament plays not made as well in terms of picks dropped.
Unless the Patriots and Seahawks meet in the Super Bowl, the Sherman Act may not be witnessed again before Tom Brady retires. But it was amusing while it lasted.
