Matthew Slater explains the team’s mindset as they prepare for Thursday’s game vs the Rams. Slater says that while every game matters, how a team plays late in the year, in must-win games, will define their season.

The New England Patriots reportedly are adding some depth to their secondary.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Patriots are expected to sign former BYU and Los Angeles Rams defensive back Dayan Lake.

Lake tallied 207 total tackles (149 solo, 10.5 for loss), two sacks, three forced fumbles and 15 pass breakups in 43 starts at BYU. The 23-year-old finished as the Cougars' all-time leader in fumble recoveries (7) and fourth in interceptions (7).

Lake was signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent in April 2020 and waived in September.

The Patriots will face the Rams on Thursday Night Football with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET.
