Report: Burress to work out for Patriots

The Patriots already have a glut of well-established NFL receivers on their roster, but another is flying to New England on Sunday for an interview of sorts.
According to ESPN, free agent wideout Plaxico Burress is headed to New England to work out.
If Burress were to sign with the Patriots he would find himself among a receiver group that already includes Brandon Lloyd, Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez, Jabar Gaffney, Donte' Stallworth and Deion Branch.
While at 6-foot-5, Burress' size might be useful in red zone situations (as the Patriots found out when he caught the game-winning touchdown pass at the end of Super Bowl XLII), New England has a pretty good red zone target already in Rob Gronkowski.
Burress, 35, is reportedly willing to play for the veteran's minimum.
Sometimes the Patriots will work out a player to see whether or not he might be worth bringing into the fold later on in the season in order to fill a roster spot in an emergency situation.
The Patriots are scheduled to practice later this afternoon.
More to come . . .
