With Stephen Gostkowski on season-ending injured reserve, the Patriots are in need of a new kicker. After working out multiple kickers on Wednesday, it's clear they're waiting patiently for the right one for the job.

Kai Forbath and Mike Nugent were among the kickers who worked out at Gillette Stadium, though the Patriots are set to continue their search on Thursday according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Gostkowski struggled mightily through the first four games of the season. The 14-year veteran was 7-of-8 on field goals and 11-of-15 on extra points.

Forbath filled in for Josh Lambo in Jacksonville in 2018, making 4-of-5 field goals and all three of his extra points.

Nugent went 6-of-6 on field goals and 4-of-5 on extra points with the Raiders last year.
