Michael Bennett rolls out Patriots-Star Wars comparisons on Twitter

The New England Patriots are getting a pretty interesting cat in Michael Bennett.

The veteran defensive end reminded us of that Thursday in his first social media post since coming over in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles by going heavy on the "Star Wars" theme.

Bennett got the ball rolling on the Patriots/"Star Wars" connection this week by comparing head coach Bill Belichick to Yoda, the wise Jedi Master.

The legendary Obi-Wan Kenobi also is a solid choice for quarterback Tom Brady (who may have been a Han Solo in his younger years), while Devin and Jason McCourty both could pass as Lando Calrissian.

(Others may view Belichick and Brady as Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, but we digress.)

In any case, Bennett clearly respects the Patriots' organization -- he also retweeted a video of Belichick discussing how the Patriots handled Bennett in Super Bowl XLIX -- and seems excited to hit the ground (skies?) running.
