Tyrone was the passenger in a Volkswagen Passat that was struck by Chamblin's Subaru WRX, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene and White's mother, Lisa, was left in critical condition.

Chamblin was booked into jail Thursday and held without bond, records showed.

On Wednesday, White shared a positive update on his mother's health.
