The accolades continue to roll in for Bruins goalie Tim Thomas. The team announced Thursday that Thomas has been selected as a starter for the NHL's All-Star Game on Jan. 29 in Ottawa.
Thomas, the last season's Vezina and Conn Smythe winner, is 17-6-0 in 24 starts with a 1.90 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage.
Daniel Alfredsson, Jason Spezza, Milan Michalek and Erik Karlsson -- all of the host Ottawa Senators -- are among the first six players named by the fans to participate in the 2012 Tim
Hortons NHL All-Star Game. Thomas, along with Maple Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf also earned All-Star berths through fan voting.
Thomas led all goalies with 626,540 votes.
