Kyrie Irving: More consistency, and Celtics ‘will run over everyone in this league'

With help from a sensational performance from Kyrie Irving, the Celtics beat the Raptors on Wednesday night.

Irving drilled a deep three late in the fourth quarter that ultimately served as the dagger in the victory, and the Celtics guard finished with 27 points and a career-high 18 assists

After the win, a rightfully fired up Irving made an optimistic guarantee that helps put the recent Celtics drama on the backburner.

“We’ve just got to become more consistent," Irving said in a postgame interview with ESPN's Lisa Salters. "Once that happens, we’ll run over everybody in this league. I can guarantee it.”

Irving and the Celtics will look to build off the win and get some of that consistency when they take on the Grizzlies at TD Garden on Friday night.
