Turner should be a tremendous fit in player development. He's well respected around the league and played several different positions/roles for five teams in his 10 seasons as a player.

The 32-year-old was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. Turner played two seasons with the Celtics in 2014-15 and 2015-16, and he performed well enough in Boston to secure a lucrative four-year, $70 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers as a free agent in the summer of 2016. He also spent time with the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks in his playing career.
The 2020-21 regular season begins Dec. 22. The Celtics also will play two preseason games -- Dec. 15 at the Philadelphia 76ers and Dec. 18 versus the Brooklyn Nets.
