Forsberg: Celtics-Mavs offers rare chance at Tatum-Luka MVP showdown

Tatum's availability sets up a thrilling showdown with Mavericks star Luka Doncic. Both players are NBA MVP frontrunners in the early part of the 2022-23 season.

Doncic and the Mavericks have gotten the better of Tatum and the C's in recent matchups. Dallas owns a four-game win streak against Boston with two of those victories coming on Doncic buzzer-beaters.

The Celtics will look to put an end to that streak after having their nine-game win streak snapped by the Chicago Bulls on Monday.

Tip-off for Wednesday night's C's-Mavs game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston. Tune in at 7 p.m. to get ready for the game with our "Pregame Live" crew.
