The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 to win the 2021 NBA Finals.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is in the company of legends.

The Bucks star is an NBA champion after Milwaukee defeated the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals on Tuesday night. Antetokounmpo also was named NBA Finals MVP after a 50-point, 14-rebound, 5-block masterpiece at Fiserv Forum.

The Finals MVP award is named after Bill Russell, who won an NBA-record 11 titles with the Boston Celtics and in the past has presented the trophy to the winner at the Finals.

Russell couldn't attend Tuesday's game, but the 87-year-old Celtics legend sent Antetokounmpo an awesome message via Twitter congratulating him on winning Finals MVP.

"Congratulations, Giannis. I can't say your last name, but congratulations on winning the Bill Russell Award," Russell says in the video.

Nailed it, Bill.

Antetokounmpo is racking up trophies at an impressive rate: He now has two NBA MVP awards (2019, 2020) and NBA championship and an NBA Finals MVP award (2021) at age 26. Not too shabby.
