John Tomase breaks down five players to watch out for in 2023 who could be getting overlooked.

Xander Bogaerts gave the Boston Red Sox a glimpse of what they'll be missing in 2023 and beyond.

Starring for the Netherlands in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, the ex-Red Sox shortstop led the way in Wednesday's win over Panama. Bogaerts belted a solo homer to left field to give his country the lead in the bottom of the third inning.

Bogaerts' big day ended with him going 3-for-4 at the plate with the homer, a single, and a double. He drove in a run and scored twice to help the Netherlands win the Pool A matchup, 3-1.

The San Diego Padres signed Bogaerts to an 11-year, $280 million contract in free agency. The deal will take the four-time All-Star through his age-41 season.

Bogaerts and the Netherlands (2-0) will look to stay undefeated when they take on Chinese Taipei on Saturday at 6 a.m. ET.
