Talking Points: Blue Jays 11, Red Sox 8

STAR OF THE GAME: Jose Bautista

Bautista always manages to make life miserable for the Red Sox and Tuesday night was no exception. He reached base three times with an RBI-single, a walk and a solo homer and also provided a sacrifice fly and scored twice.

HONORABLE MENTION: Kevin Pillar

Pillar got the big five-run third started with a leadoff walk and also collected three hits -- two singles and a double while scoring twice.

GOAT OF THE GAME: Clay Buchholz

It wasn't just that Buchholz couldn't get out of the third inning. It was that he imploded in the top of the third after his teammates had staked him to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the previous inning. Fittingly, the inning began to go downhill for him when he issued a leadoff walk to Toronto's No. 8 hitter, Kevin Pillar.

TURNING POINT: As bad as things got for the Red Sox by the middle innings, they loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the fifth, trailing by four. But they couldn't manage another hit that inning, had to settle for a single run and the game was effectively over.

BY THE NUMBERS: The starting rotation for Boston now sports a 6.02 ERA.
