John Tomase and Lou Merloni debate whether the Red Sox will consider bringing back Alex Cora as the team’s manager next season. Merloni says he believes Cora wants to return, but says it’s Chaim Bloom’s decision.

The Red Sox blew their one-run lead in the 8th, then it was Freddie Freeman delivering the knockout blow in the 11th with a walk-off home run for the Braves on Friday night.

Boston starter Chris Mazza turned in an impressive outing, tossing five innings and allowing only one run while striking out six. Jackie Bradley Jr. homered for the Red Sox, and Braves superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. went deep as well with a a 495-foot bomb. Marcell Ozuna hit a clutch two-run single in the 8th to help Atlanta force extra innings.

FINAL SCORE: Braves 8, Red Sox 7
