Bruins vs. Panthers live stream: Watch pivotal Game 1 of first-round series

The Boston Bruins will host the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series Monday night at TD Garden.

The Bruins had a historic regular season that saw them set numerous NHL records, including a league-best 65 wins and 135 points. But none of that matters right now. Everyone is starting at 0-0 and the Panthers should not be taken lightly.

Bruins have more than just another Stanley Cup title at stake in 2023 playoffs

The Panthers were the fifth-highest scoring team in the league during the regular season and had 12 players tally 10 or more goals. Left winger Matthew Tkachuk is a legit superstar and his power-forward style of play is perfectly suited for the physicality of the playoffs. Panthers center Aleksander Barkov is an elite two-way center. Veteran defenseman Brandon Montour finished with 73 points.

There's a ton of talent on this Florida roster.

One concern for the Bruins is health. There's a bug going around the team that's made several players sick, including captain Patrice Bergeron. No. 1 goalie Linus Ullmark's status also is TBD. What we do know is that center David Krejci and defenseman Derek Forbort are back in the lineup. Fourth-line left wing Nick Foligno could return as well.
