Traustason, 27, recorded 17 goals and 20 assists in more than 100 appearances with reigning Swedish champions Malmö FF. The six-footer played 34 of those games in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. “Arnór is a talented player who brings a great deal of experience at both the international and club levels to our roster,” head coach Bruce Arena said. “We’re excited to welcome him into the team and hope to get him integrated as quickly as possible.”
Traustason and the Revolution will begin their regular season April 17 vs. the Chicago Fire.
