The New England Revolution are on an 11-match unbeaten streak and they finished the month of July with an impressive 4-1 win over Orlando City SC. And while the team has been on a hot streak, one of their players set a historic mark as well.

During the month of July, Revs midfielder Carles Gil notched four goals and four assists. And according to OptaJack, Gil is only the second player in MLS history to achieve that mark.

The other player to achieve this feat was Diego Serna, a former member of the Miami Fusion who also played briefly with the Revs.

In addition to this mark, Gil is on the verge of tying an MLS record for the most consecutive games notching both one goal and one assist. The record is four straight games which was also set by Serna back in 2000.

So far this season, Gil has 6 goals and 6 assists for the Revolution. His performance in recent months has been key to the Revs' unbeaten streak.

The Revolution will look to continue that streak on Saturday against LAFC at Gilette Stadium. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on NBC Sports Boston or streamed on the My Teams App.
