Watch Taylor Hall beat Predators, extend Bruins' win streak with OT goal

The Boston Bruins are the hottest team in the NHL, and they beat another quality opponent Saturday afternoon at TD Garden.

The B's beat the Western Conference-leading Nashville Predators 4-3 in overtime when Taylor Hall pounced on a loose puck in front of the net and secured Boston's fifth consecutive win.

Hall now has 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in the last 13 games. After a slow start to the season, Hall is finally producing offensively at a consistent rate and providing the team with much-needed scoring depth on the second line.

Brad Marchand reacts to snub from All-Star Game with praise for teammate

The Bruins jumped out to a 2-0 lead Saturday, but the Predators bounced back with two goals to enter the third period tied. After Brad Marchand put the B's ahead again with his team-leading 20th goal of the season, the Preds equalized less than three minutes later on a tally by Roman Josi. Hall's goal improved the B's record to 3-1-1 in OT/shootout.

The Bruins' triumph in overtime gives them eight victories in their nine January games. This recent run of success has pulled the B's within three points of third place in the Atlantic Division and one point behind the Pittsburgh Penguins for the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Boston has a few days off before resuming its homestand with a Tuesday night game versus the Carolina Hurricanes.
