Tuesday, Oct. 4: D-man who B's passed on draws raves in Arizona

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while thoroughly enjoying the Luke Cage series on Netflix.

*A young defenseman that the Bruins took a pass on in the first round of last summer’s draft, Jakob Chychrun, is earning rave reviews in Arizona Coyotes camp. I think the B’s did the right thing taking Charlie McAvoy instead, but Bruins fans will be all over it if Chychrun becomes a rookie stud for the Coyotes this season.

*A few resolutions just in time for the new NHL season from the man with the hockey plan, Down Goes Brown.

*It was a tearful speech of appreciation when Marc Savard had his number retired by the Oshawa Generals this past weekend.

*The New Jersey Devils are out to prove people wrong, and make a big move in the Eastern Conference this season.

*PHT writer and FOH (Friend of Haggs) Mike Halford has Radko Gudas going free without a hearing after clobbering Jimmy Vesey with a preseason hit.

*Kevin Allen and the USA Today have the Bruins once again narrowly missing the Stanley Cup playoffs this season.

*For something completely different: the Haggerty household had a pretty similar reaction to Ben Affleck when he got the update on the Patriots score on Sunday.
