Rest assured, Bruins fans, that the TD Garden has heard your complaints.
After more than a couple of complaints about the lack of legroom in the new seating installed at TD Garden during the building’s renovations this summer, the TD Garden had issued an initial, unsatisfying statement essentially telling people to “get used to it.”
The statement, along with the new seating, was met with growing criticism by a Boston sports fan base that already pays out some of the highest ticket prices in North American sports. So credit to the Garden folks and Delaware north people that have clearly felt some of the rancor from Bruins and Celtics fans, and is taking a different tone after a few days.
It wasn’t a public statement, but instead a message from TD Garden president Amy Latimer to season ticket holders that guaranteed management “will make this right” for the people that frequent the TD Garden.
"We installed new seats throughout the entire arena, with the goal of providing an improved fan experience,” said Latimer. "We are listening to feedback that some of the new seats do not meet expectations, specifically in fit and legroom.
"Our priority is to make every visit to TD Garden a best-in-class arena experience. We are evaluating the situation with our seating installation and architect partners and we are implementing both immediate and phased-approach solutions.

"We will make this right for our guests."
That’s an encouraging development for TD Garden patrons that had submitted a steady flow of complaints over the last couple weeks since the Bruins opened up their home exhibition schedule, but it will be interesting to see how this is addressed by the building. The Bruins have just a couple more days before the Bruins essentially reveal their new look in the Oct. 12 home opener against the New Jersey Devils where there is sure to be more peeved tweets about the incredibly shrinking legroom.
