Here are the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while in the middle of Blue Jays fever up here in Toronto.
*As always defenseman P.K. Subban was on point with his sartorial choices headed into his first game for the Nashville Predators.
*While the attempt to make Loui Eriksson look a bit foreboding while hawking the Canucks’ team wares is admirable, it’s not exactly realistic.
*Nail Yakupov is getting his second chance in St. Louis, and he’s getting plenty of support from those around him.
*Brooks Orpik is just happy to be out of the trainer’s room and back on the ice for another season with the Washington Capitals. It remains to be seen if that’s such a good thing for the Washington Capitals at this point in his career, however.
*The Senators and Habs rivalry is as good as it gets these days with plenty of bad blood between the two neighboring teams.
*Good for Jonathan Toews dropping the gloves with James Neal and showing that superstars do indeed still fight in the NHL.
Boston Bruins
*For something completely different: who doesn’t love Martellus Bennett and the Imagination Company? It sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon.
