Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while knowing full well that somewhere right now Alex Ovechkin is probably still extremely hammered.
*The sound and sight of T.J. Oshie and his father, battling Alzheimer’s, embracing and celebrating after winning the Stanley Cup is pretty damn emotional. Everybody loves Alex Ovechkin and his drunken teammates parading around Washington DC, but the celebration between the victorious players and their families is what winning the Cup is all about.
*Speaking of the Cup and the Capitals, it’s great that FOH (Friend of Haggs) Elliotte Friedman interviewed FOH Nate Ewell about the Caps winning the Cup. Ewell was the longtime PR guy for the Capitals before joining up with College Hockey Inc., and certainly it was joyous for him to see some of the players he worked with finally win the big one.
*Speaking again of the Washington Capitals, Braden Holtby and Alex Ovechkin are ready for their close-ups on the Tonight Show.
*The full coverage of the 2018 NHL Draft has begun, including prospect analysis, mock drafts and everything else under the sun.
*Cool profile of hockey prodigy Oliver Walhstrom, who is set to be drafted after long being on the New England hockey radar due to his Mini One-on-One moves between periods of Bruins games. He’d be a great pick for the Black and Gold, but he’ll be long gone by the time Boston makes their first selection at 57th overall.
*The Score has top buyout candidates from each Eastern Conference, including Adam McQuaid with the Boston Bruins. The Bruins won’t be buying out McQuaid, and they won’t be buying out any of their other players either. McQuaid isn’t making big enough dollars that would be worth buying out, and he’s still a very useful player for the Black and Gold when he’s healthy.

*For something completely different: Nick Gemelli is known to many as intern Nick on the Toucher and Rich show, but now he needs your help after a scary bout with a staph infection in his heart.
