Morning Skate: Jagr surprises “Traveling Jagrs” in Calgary

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while decidedly not wowed by the new Justice League trailer.

*The video of Jaromir Jagr literally skipping to go meet up with the Travelling Jagrs in Calgary is a pure delight.

*Not only does Nathan Walker become the first Australian to play in the NHL, but he scored a goal for the Capitals as well.

*Tampa Bay Lightning forward JT Brown becomes the first black player to hold a silent protest during the national anthems with a fist raised in the air.

*Looks like Will Butcher was ready to make a splash for the New Jersey Devils with an impressive opening night.

*Another hockey season means another year of the Coaches Corner with Dandy Don Cherry. Here he is from Saturday night talking Chicago Blackhawks, and also giving the DeBrusk family a little love after Jake’s first goal on Thursday night.

*For something completely different: For me this was just kind of “meh”, so that’s not a great sign for the movie.
