Here are all the links from around the hockey word and what I’m reading while NHL Awards season is creeping up on us.
*Congrats to FOH (Friend of Haggs) Andrew Ference on his new position at the NHL, and the efforts to reach the hockey world out to everybody under the sun. Ference is the perfect guy for the job and I look forward to the initiatives of inclusiveness that he comes up with working out of the home offices in New York City.
*Marcus Johansson isn’t very happy with the Brad Marchand elbow that concussed him, but it’s interesting to note that Johansson has been suspended for throwing a head shot before as well. That makes it all a little bit hypocritical, doesn’t it?
*This Players Tribune story from Clint Malarchuk is something else, from the skate blade incident on the ice to the dark places he went to following his NHL career.

*Interesting piece about a married couple who are also rival sportswriters covering the baseball beat out in the Bay Area.
*Phil Esposito talks about the Tampa Bay Lightning, who he thinks will come out on top in the Atlantic Division and Bobby Orr in his podcast with FOH (Friend of Haggs) Jimmy Murphy.
*For something completely different: This story of superhero movie stars like Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds jumping at the chance to do something for a terminally ill little boy is moving to say the least.
