*There is plenty of outrage and dismay about the NHL’s decision to boycott the 2018 Winter Olympics, but I gave up hope on this one a long time ago. It was just never going to make business sense given how far away South Korea is, and how the TV marketing aspect of it, from a league perspective, was never going to materialize given the odd hours of the actual games.

 

*Speaking of which, here is the ever-qoutable Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk saying that the door is closed on NHL players in the upcoming Olympics
