The play happened in the second period when Rasmussen hit Krejci and his stick swung up and caught the B's forward in the head.
Krejci left the game and didn't return. He won't play in Boston's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night.
Rasmussen was given a two-minute minor penalty for high sticking as a result of the play.
The Bruins beat the Red Wings 5-1 to improve their record to a league-best 7-1-0.
