Good news for Bruins: Carlo returns to practice

BRIGHTON -- The Bruins went back to work today following the NHL All-Star break without their two All-Stars, Brad Marchand and Tuukka Rask, who are expected to meet the team in Tampa ahead of Tuesday night’s game. One Bruins player who was on the ice, however, was Brandon Carlo, who was last seen exiting last week’s win over the Penguins with what appeared to be a serious-looking leg injury. 

The 20-year-old rookie D-man went through a full practice with the Bruins Monday at Warrior Ice Arena and appears ready to resume his role as Zdeno Chara’s shutdown partner on defense. Considering how bad the potential injury looked Thursday night, that's an excellent break for the B's. 

Otherwise Austin Czarnik filled in at left wing for the absent Marchand, and Anton Khudobin, along with a local fill-in, were in goal.
