Felger: Spooner should have been with Bruins all year

The Boston Bruins have gotten some solid contributions from Ryan Spooner and David Pastrnak in a season where they have been searching for a spark.

Called a “liability defensively” by coach Claude Julien in September, Spooner's opportunity came when David Krejci went down with an injury.

Michael Felger believes the team should have given him a serious chance earlier in the season.

"Spooner should have been on this team from day one. He should've been down on the fourth line," said Felger on Sports Tonight. "They've spent too much time with the Campbells, Kellys and the Pailles of the world. They talked about going with skill and more youth and more speed to start the year. They trade Shawn Thornton, Spooner should have been on this team all year long."
