Felger: Bruins re-signing Eriksson is ‘unpalatable'

The clock is ticking on the Boston Bruins time to re-sign Loui Eriksson before Monday’s trade deadline.

General manager Don Sweeney admits there’s "a gap” in negotiations between the Bruins and Eriksson’s camp.

If Eriksson’s camp keeps driving up the price tag, Michael Felger won’t be disappointed if they end up moving him at the deadline.

“The only thing that is unpalatable is re-signing him,” said Felger. “Four years at $21 million. I’m not doing that. I’m doing three [years] five [million per year] for Loui Eriksson. I’m not going more than that. He’ll get much more than that on the open market. There’s no way he’d take it. I’m glad they’re far apart because I don’t think the Bruins should re-sign him.”
