The Toronto Maple Leafs responded in a huge way Monday night with a Game 3 win at home to take a 2-1 lead in their first-round 2019 Stanley Cup playoff series against the Boston Bruins.
The Leafs' 3-2 victory came as a result of strong special teams, excellent goaltending from Frederik Andersen and excellent two-way play from Mitch Marner. Toronto now has an opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 series advantage with a Game 4 win at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday night.
The Bruins did not trail in their first-round series versus the Leafs last season, mostly because the team's top line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak dominated offensively throughout the seven games. This talented trio has not scored at that rate in this series, and all three players were held scoreless in Game 3. Boston needs its first line to make a statement in Game 4 or the B's could be facing elimination when the series returns to TD Garden for Game 5 on Friday.
Here's how and when to watch Bruins vs. Leafs Game 4 online.
