Marchand tallied eight points (three goals, five assists) in those three games, including a stellar 5-point performance Sunday night in a 7-4 win over the New York Rangers. The veteran left winger scored two goals and added three assists versus the Blueshirts to extend his point streak to 10 games.
One of his two goals will be featured on highlight reels all season:
Marchand ranks fifth in the league in scoring with 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) through 11 games. The league leader is one of his linemates, David Pastrnak, who has 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists).
Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi and Philadelphia Flyers goalie Brian Elliott were the league's No. 2 and No. 3 stars of the week, respectively.
