Bruins analysis: How the Bruins and Maple Leafs stack up

Hockey fans are about to get a real sense of déjà vu.

For the second straight season, the Bruins will face the Maple Leafs in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, a rematch of last year's series, when Boston needed home-ice advantage in Game 7 to eliminate the Leafs and advance to face the Lightning.

The B's will once again have home-ice advantage this time around, owning a six-point lead over the Leafs with just two games left in the regular season. The Bruins also won the season series 3-1, outscoring Toronto 16-10 in the process.

This one might go the distance as well; Toronto owns the fourth-highest scoring offense in the league thanks to players like Auston Matthews, John Tavares, and Mitch Marner. But the Bruins have the third-stingiest defense in the NHL.

So how will it break down? Joe Haggerty has the tale of the tape for Bruins vs. Leafs, Part Deux.
