Belichick praises Bruins for Game 3 win, loves their style of play


New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick showed his full support for the Boston Bruins during his Zoom press conference Friday before OTAs at Gillette Stadium.

Belichick showed up to the presser wearing a Bruins hat and praised them for winning Game 3 of their second-round playoff series against the New York Islanders in overtime Thursday night.

“Big congratulations to the Bruins. Heck of a game,” Belichick said. “We're behind them. Go B's. They’ve got a lot of big games coming up. We wish them well. Coach (Bruce) Cassidy’s done a great job there. They’ve got a lot of great players. Love their style of play. Just want to show our support.”

Plenty of Patriots players also showed up to Friday's practice wearing Bruins gear.

The Bruins will try to take a 3-1 series lead over the Islanders in Saturday night's Game 4 at Nassau Coliseum. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
