When you think about Super Bowl predictions, you might turn to Vegas odds, sportsbooks, stat lines, or perhaps even the uniform color choice of each team.
But Amazon's "Alexa," the digital assistant that can place online shopping orders, and playback music—is now weighing in on the February 3rd donnybrook between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.
In a video that has recently surfaced online, an individual asks Alexa for its opinion on the bout.
For a computer generated device, Alexa actually had quite a bit to say, which Patriots fans should be feeling good about:
This capability should not come as a complete surprise. Amazon and the NFL are no strangers. The league reached a $130 million deal with the online shopping and streaming giant last year, and the company's analytics and prediction technology are prominently integrated in NFL broadcasts. Will the prediction ring true? Is Alexa a better prognosticator than the seemingly omniscient Tony Romo? We'll have to find that out on February 3rd.
