Tom Brady took a little time before the Patriots' first preseason in Detroit game to greet Michigan superfan Larry Prout Jr., who has had over 100 surgeries in his life already.
Prout Jr. was one the sideline in Detroit during warmups Thursday night, so Brady went over to shake his hand and talk to the teen for a bit.
Prout Jr., who's been involved with the University of Michigan football team, connected with the program through Team IMPACT, which connects children facing serious chronic illness with local college athletic teams. Brady played his college football for Michigan, so there's more than a good chance Prout Jr. is a big fan of the legendary quarterback.
Brady isn't expected to play against the Lions for the Pats' preseason opener, so fans will get an extended look at rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham throw to rookie wide receiver N'Keal Harry.
