The Hooded One is famously reluctant to bask in any sort of milestone. But his boss made sure he got to enjoy it for at least a moment.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft hand-delivered Bill Belichick the game ball Sunday night after earning his 300th career win, just the third NFL coach ever to achieve the milestone, beating the Browns 27-13 at a rainy Gillette Stadium.
And being the Patriots, who could resist an opportunity for a great ricochet at their most hated rival?
"I'm happy, as we all are, that 263 of those 300 wins have come as coach of the New England Patriots," Kraft concluded. "And I'm especially happy that win No. 299 came against the New York Jets."
