Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs has replaced Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey as the popular name in NFL trade rumors with Week 5 set to begin Thursday night.
Diggs met with reporters Thursday and was asked about the trade rumors surrounding him. His answer was a bit bizarre.
Truth to all rumors?
Here's more from Diggs:
There are plenty of contending teams across the league that could use an upgrade at wide receiver, including the New England Patriots, However, our own Tom E. Curran reported Wednesday that Minnesota has "no plans" to trade Diggs.
And a league source with knowledge of the situation said Wednesday the Vikings have no plans to trade Diggs. Which makes more than surface sense. Even with Diggs moderately down in 2019 (he has 13 catches for 209 yards so far), the Vikings are a very viable playoff team in the NFC.

Diggs is in the first season of a five-year, $72 million contract with the Vikings. The 25-year-old wideout enjoyed a stellar 2018 season during which he set career highs with 102 receptions, 1,021 receiving yards and nine touchdows. He's off to a slow start in 2019, but the Vikings offense as a whole has struggled to generate any sort of consistency. A lot of it falls on the shoulders of starting quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has a lackluster QBR of 29.2 through four games.
The Vikings would be wise to keep Diggs unless a team blows them away with a tremendous offer. The trade deadline is Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. ET.
