Tom Brady will be without one of his primary weapons for the rest of the season as Josh Gordon was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.
Gordon suffered a knee injury during the Patriots' Week 6 win over the Giants and missed the Week 7 victory over the Jets. He finishes his 2019 season with 20 receptions for 287 yards and one touchdown in six games, and his tenure in New England very well could be over as he's set to become a free agent when the season is over.
Somewhat making up for the loss of Gordon is the Patriots' trade with the Falcons on Tuesday for veteran wide receiver Mohamed Sanu. Of course, it could take a few weeks for the 30-year-old to build a rapport with Brady.
New England also could get rookie N'Keal Harry back in Week 9 as the 2019 first-round draft pick will be eligible to return from IR.
Here's a look at the Patriots' updated wide receiver depth chart without Gordon:
Julian Edelman
Mohamed Sanu
Phillip Dorsett
N'Keal Harry (eligible to return Week 9)
Jakobi Meyers
Gunner Olszewski
The Patriots will take on the Browns without Gordon on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
