Unless you haven't been paying attention, you've gotta be well aware by now that the NFL is celebrating its 100th season this year.
To mark its centennial, the league partnered with the Associated Press and a panel of 50 experts (including NBC Sports Boston's Tom E. Curran) to choose the Greatest Play in NFL history.
As with any list, the subjectivity is going to be high, and there are bound to be disagreements. Take Malcolm Butler's Super Bowl clinching interception, for instance.
Curran put that play on top of his list. Number 1. The greatest NFL play of alltime. But NFL.com analyst and Hall of Famer Gil Brandt apparently used very different criteria when making his list. Brandt didn't have the Butler pick in his Top 5, his Top 10, or even his Top 25. He ranked it 27th. Twenty-seventh.
Needless to mention, his tweet didn't go over well with some sections of the Twitter-verse.
